'kin taxes

Certainty? In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes. Benjamin Franklin

*sigh* Perhaps, if it does not want to cause any unrest or dissent, our government had better start investing in more superior bandwidth servers.

Whilst waiting such a long time for our excessively 'surfeited' hmrc.gov to be able to cope with a large slice of the anticipated (160 billion+) income tax contributions it is about to receive , I got to thinking... Where the fcuk do all my 'kin taxes go and what is our 'security' conscious government mostly spending it on?

Lo and behold the largest slice of the budget is going on 'social protection' now what is that exactly? It certainly isn't for crime reduction - and no matter what government spin says, its a fact - the police are simply not getting paid enough, street/gun crime is rising. So its not for that kind of social protection. I'm assuming that is covered in the thin cream coloured slice.

So where is it going? what does social protection actually mean? more aid to anti-terrorist activity? Increased phone tapping and internet traffic surveillance? ha! no, its merely looking after pensioners, homeless, asylum seekers & children. see here for a pdf breakdown of how this is spent.

Ah well, so much for conspiracy, move along now, nothing to see here.
